GCC Celebrates Newest Eagle Scouts: Leading Service Projects and Soaring to New Heights

Recognizing Outstanding Achievements and Community Impact

Congratulations to our newest Eagle Scouts in Grand Canyon Council, BSA’s Central Phoenix Metro area as they led their teams of Scouts and volunteers through completing their projects, logging 175 service hours in our community. Congratulations go out to Bobby H. from Troop 329 (left) who coordinated the upgrade of a water catchment restoration project area for wildlife in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve where they cleared debris and brush surrounding the area and sealed cracks in the concrete; and Lucas F. from Troop 147 (right) who cleaned up, added new nets, and re-striped the basketball courts at St. Theresa’s Catholic School where his troop meets each week.

The dedication, hard work, and leadership for both these young men have truly paid off, along with commitment to community service, outdoor skills, and personal development which exemplify the values of Scouting. Soaring to new heights, we’re all incredibly proud of their accomplishments and we wish them continued success in all their future endeavors.

Of course, these Scouts gained this experience with the help of their parents, friends, family members, and dedicated Scouter volunteers to help guide them along their journey. We also thank our dedicated volunteers for participating to help facilitate their Board of Review at First United Methodist Church, Phoenix, for hosting this special gathering. Congratulations to our incredible Eagle Scouts! You did it!
