Celebrate Flag Day On June 14

As Scouts, we wear patriotism on our sleeves! Flag Day is Sunday, June 14, 2020.

What is Flag Day and why do we celebrate it?

On May 30, 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a presidential proclamation establishing a national Flag Day on June 14. However, Flag Day did not become official until August 1949, when President Harry Truman signed the legislation and proclaimed June 14 as Flag Day!

What do you do on Flag Day?

Celebrate Flag Day by displaying the Red, White and Blue! Flag day is a day to reflect on the foundations of the nation’s freedom.

Did you know a Boy Scout designed the current U.S. flag?

Tag #GrandCanyonBSA and share your display of the Red, White and blue!
